Marketing Assistant

The ideal candidate is a quick learner with a positive attitude who can keep up in a fast-paced, independent environment. The Marketing Assistant is a 40 hour per week position, reporting to and working directly with the CEO of CertifiKID, as well as supporting the Sales & Operations Team. The Administrative Assistant works in all aspects of the business including sales, marketing, operations, client and customer relationships, and business development.

Responsibilities:

Sales and Client Relationships:

Works with sales team to writes up deals as needed, including all details that purchasers need to know, selecting appropriate art work and finalizing deal page with business. Communicates with businesses partnering with CertifiKID regarding all aspects of their deal: current deal information, follow up with final deal purchase numbers, maintain communication regarding the process of redemption of deals by CertifiKID customers, and develop ongoing relationship for future deals.

Administration & Clerical:

  • Assists with customer service calls and emails as needed.
  • Assists team with administrative tasks as needed, such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms, etc.

Marketing & Business Development:

  • Assists with development of creative elements for marketing materials, emails, deal collections, promotions, and training guides
  • Setting up daily emails
  • Assists with development of new projects
  • Assists with strategies to boost subscribers and sales.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • A high degree of comfort working with technology, and the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent writing skills. Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar. Knowledge of AP Style a plus, but not required.
  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology.
  • Ability to assess and resolve problems in a timely manner.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

Part-Time Web Developer 

We are seeking a dynamic developer with diverse experience who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and will be adept at shifting focus between both Macaroni KID and CertifiKID, each built from its own custom-made content management system (CMS) and on the PHP and ColdFusion programming languages.

This is a part-time position reporting to our Chief Technology Officer and working in close coordination with our Chief Operating Officer. As both companies continue to expand and further merge operations, we envision significant growth opportunities for this position. The ideal candidate has experience with or an affinity for the family digital advertising and marketing space.

Macaroni KID Qualifications & Skills 

We expect Macaroni KID responsibilities to comprise about 75% of daily tasks. The incumbent will be an PHP and Angular 1/Angular 2 developer who performs both back-end and API layer website development on Macaroni KID, which is an online content publishing network built from a custom-made CMS. We also are looking for someone who is front-end proficient.

Tasks include: 

  • Parse through and fully document our API using an API documentation service like Apiary, Readme.io or Swagger
  • Working on the Ubuntu/Linux servers to apply security updates and patches regularly
  • Support adding tags to digital media campaigns
  • Developing, testing and deploying new administrative features (back-end and API layer)
  • Developing, testing and deploying new website features (front-end)
  • Identifying and creating more efficient development workflows
