When the days are hot, there's nothing better than hitting the water to cool down. Here are some places to visit in the Bloomington - Normal area to cool down on a hot summer day. Some are spray parks open to the public, while others are public swimming pools, or small beaches just a short drive away. Don't forget your sunblock and a towel!
FAIRVIEW FAMILY AQUATIC CENTER |

Fairview Family Aquatic Center is located at 801 N Main St. in Normal. Click HERE for hours and guidelines. Admission is $6 for seniors age 62+, $8 for ages 16+, $7 for children ages 3-15, and free for 2 years old and under. Opening day is May 28 for the 2022 season.
ANDERSON AQUATIC CENTER |

Anderson Aquatic Center is located at 100 S. Maple in Normal. Click HERE for hours and guidelines. Admission is $4.50 for seniors age 62+, $6 for ages 16+, $5 for children ages 3-15, and free for 2 years old and under. Toddler Time will take place Monday-Saturday from 9:30am-10:50am. Admission is $3 per person (free for season pass holders). Opening day is May 28 for the 2022 season.

Holiday Pool is located in Holiday Park at 800 S. McGregor in Bloomington. Holiday Pool features a zero-depth children’s pool with spray features that are fun for ages 5 & under. It also has a small water slide, deep water, picnic table area with vending machines, and grassy recreation area. Click HERE for hours of operation as it varies by day.
Admission is $5 for ages 3 and over. Children age 2 and under are free. Opening day is May 28 for the 2022 season.

Tipton Spray Park is located in Tipton Park at 2201 Stone Mountain Blvd (just off of College Ave.) in Bloomington.

Miller Spray Park is located in Miller Park, 1020 S. Morris Ave in Bloomington, across from the entrance to Miller Park Zoo.

McGraw Spray Park is located in phase 1 of McGraw Park at 3202 Cornelius Drive in Bloomington. (Off of Airport Rd. behind Central Catholic High School.)

Comlara Park is located at 13001 Recreation Drive in Hudson, IL. The Swimming Beach Opens May 28 for the 2022 season.
DAWSON LAKE AT MORAINE VIEW STATE PARK |

Moraine View State Recreation Area is located at 27374 Moraine View Park Road, LeRoy, IL. The Black Locust picnic area includes a public, sandy beach where swimming is permitted from Memorial Day to Labor Day on Friday, Saturday and Sunday as well as Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day. No alcohol or pets are allowed on the beach, and swimmers are to remain in the buoyed area. There are no lifeguards. Please note that the beach is always pending open/close on a bacteria test required by IDPH weekly. Please call the beach office (866-724-6398) for updates on the answering machine for open/close of the beach. Admission is $3 per person (cash only).
CLINTON LAKE BEACH |

Clinton Lake is located at 7251 Ranger Road in DeWitt, IL. A beautiful, 1,000-foot white sand beach awaits swimmers and sunbathers looking to catch some rays or frolic in the warm waters of the lake. The beach is open from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., 7 days per week, weather permitting. There is a changing facility with showers and restrooms. No lifeguards are present; remain in the buoyed areas and swim with caution. No pets, glass, sharp objects or alcohol are allowed on the beach. Beach fees are $2 per day per person. Swimming is allowed in other areas of the lake, but not within 100 yards of bridges, boat ramps or boat docks.
