As much as I welcome fall and all the season brings, there is one thing I could do without - the very dry air that wreaks havoc on my kids ... Itchy eczema flare ups, the occasional bloody nose, chapped lips, and of course, sinus problems and sore throats.
As if the universe read my whiny mind, I was asked to review the new Vicks Mini Cool Mist Humidifier. The Vicks Mini Cool Mist Humidifier promises to add essential moisture to the air providing relief from the season's dry air discomforts like chapped lips, dry skin and stuffy noses. It is also compatible with Vicks Vapor Pads. These handy little pads fit right into the humidifier and release soothing Vicks scents into the air - great for squirmy kids like mine that prefer not to have Vicks products rubbed on their skin.
My favorite part? The size! The Vicks Mini Cool Mist Humidifier is compact, making it the perfect size for a child's room (or even an office or dorm rooms). The water chamber even fit underneath the faucet in my bathroom sink and although it is small, it can last up to a full 20 hours continuously, then automatically shuts off.
Wondering what our kids thought? They loved the cool blue color (it also comes in green and pink), and my youngest was especially excited about the "magic air" that made her less itchy and helped her breathe when she caught a bit of a cold last week. I was excited about that too and understand now why the American Academy of Pediatrics recommends cool mist humidifiers to help relieve congestion in little ones - it works!
Thanks, Vicks! We love our new humidifier and will be putting it to good use all season long to banish dry air blues from our home!
