These are just some of the benefits of rock climbing for children and pre-teens. The key to successful rock climbing is to start with proper training and instruction. This fall, Upper Limits Indoor Rock Gym in Bloomington is offering a great class just for kids.
Registration for Youth Introduction to Rock Climbing is currently underway. During this six-week class children ages 7-14 will learn the basics of rock climbing, technique, safety and knot-tying. Children age 11 and up will also learn how to belay. A membership with rental gear is included for the duration of the class so participants can climb and enjoy the gym outside of class free of charge! The cost of the 6-week class is $145.
Class will meet every Wednesday evening from 6-8pm for 6 weeks (October 2nd - November 6th).
