Over the past week I have gotten to know Rachael Schirano and learn about her photography business, Rachael Marie Photography. Rachael is a married mama of 4: one teenager and a set of three year-old triplets! I have trouble wrapping my brain around the idea of having 3 babies to tend to at one time. Upon hearing this I immediately declared her a Super-Mom. Successful photography business plus beautiful family equals one caped crusader in my book.
In a quest to document the lives of her three miracle babies, she fell in love with the camera. A year and a half ago she took her passion for photography to the next level and started her own business, and she called it Rachael Marie Photography. "I feel so blessed to love my work...to share in people's lives and capture their moments, their details, their love," says Rachael.
And capture moments she does. From maternity and newborn to children of all ages and their families. Rachael has recently branched out to senior photo sessions and also does a limited amount of weddings each year. However, she considers birth photography her specialty. "...Documenting those first few moments when a baby is welcomed into this world and the arms of his or her parents for the first time. It is an incredible experience, full of emotion that speeds by so quickly. My goal is to photograph the experience, so both parents can be fully involved in the birth," she says.
So what can you expect during a session with Rachael Marie Photography? Expect a relaxed approach to custom lifestyle portraits. She shoots on location and in natural light with the goal of making each session a reflection of each person's personality. "From the location to the details to the clothing choices, I want you to be able to look at your portraits and see you and your family, see your life and your love...see your beauty," she says of her photography. Something else that is new is what she calls 'life unscripted sessions.' "Essentially you choose an activity, such as painting a canvas or heading on an adventure walk to a local park, and I photograph your experience. It allows for beautiful candid moments...thus, life unscripted," she explains.
"My business is very family and child oriented," Rachael adds, "and I have been told I have an incredible amount of patience. Though there are many days my children might tell you otherwise."
