You'll need:
- 2 paper plates
- yellow paint and a paint brush
- ziplock baggie
- some noodles (rotini, egg noodles, or any other spiral shaped kind)
- 1/4 cup rubbing alcohol
- red food coloring
- glue
- marker
- googly eyes (optional)
What you need to do:
Paint both paper plates yellow. Let dry. In the meantime, take a good handful of noodles and place in the baggie with the rubbing alcohol and a few drops of red food coloring. Shake the baggie until the noodles turn orange. Lay the noodles out on some paper towels or newspaper to dry. When everything is dry, glue the noodles around the edge of one plate. Also mix in plain uncolored noodles. This will be the lion's mane. Use the other plate to cut out ears and glue (or tape) these onto the plate. Use the marker to draw a lion face. You can use the googly eyes here. Ooh, ahh, and roar over your new lion craft!
