About The Publisher: Kate Weiser

Hi, I’m Kate! My journey with Macaroni KID actually started back in the summer of 2018, when my family relocated from South Carolina to Bloomington-Normal. As a newcomer, I leaned on this site to find every park, festival, and hidden gem our new home had to offer. Now, I’m thrilled to be the one behind the screen helping you find those same resources.

I spent over a decade working in higher education, so I’ve always had a passion for connecting people with the right information. 

These days, life is a beautiful, busy whirlwind with our three kids (9 years-old and twin 2.5 year-olds). On the rare occasion I find a quiet moment to myself, you’ll usually find me with my nose in a book or covered in a layer of paint and dust from my latest home improvement project. 

I’m so glad you’re here, and I can't wait to help your family find its next adventure!
