The new Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts Summer Showcase will be held at the Bloomington Center for the Performing Arts (BCPA) on April 24 from 5:30 pm-7:30 pm.
“This free event is perfect for adults, kids, and families curious to see what the Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts divisions have to offer this summer,” said Recreation Program Manager Jill Eichholz.
Tours will be given of the historic BCPA venue as people try their hand at golf putting, pickleball, and bocce ball. Youth crafts will be going on as others sample shuffleboard, Zumba, and bingo.
“We’ll also be raffling off some pool passes”, added Eichholz.
The City of Bloomington’s Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts Department includes Recreation, Golf Courses, Parks, Miller Park Zoo, Bloomington Center for the Performing Arts, Pepsi Ice Center, S.O.A.R. and Aquatics.
