2014 McLean County Heart Walk: Saturday, September 20

August 27, 2014
You have probably already heard that cardiovascular disease is the number one killer of all Americans and kills more women than all forms of cancer combined, but are you taking steps to make sure you don't become part of these statistics? If not already, you should! Taking steps to become more heart healthy can be as simple as a change in diet, adding a brief walk around your neighborgood to your day or getting regular check ups by your doctor.

As an individual you can get on a healthier path, but you can also join more than a million people in 300+ cities across America in taking a stand against heart disease and helping save lives by joining a Heart Walk.

Mark your calendar for the 2014 McLean County Heart Walk taking place Saturday, September 20 at the ISU Track. The annual McLean County Heart Walk promotes physical activity and heart-healthy living in a fun, family environment.  Join an existing group or start one of your own with friends, family or coworkers and help raise funds to support the efforts of the American Heart Association. Dollars donated during the Heart Walk, the AHA's biggest fundraiser of the year, go towards putting up-to-the-minute research into doctors' hands, fund groundbreaking research, and more.
