Celebrate the Fourth of July 2021 In & Around Bloomington-Normal

NORMAL

SKY CONCERT Fireworks and Family Fun
July 4, 2021, 5:30pm
Family-friendly activities including inflatables, face painting and balloon artists will begin at 5:30pm! Bring your blanket, radio, and your family for a concert featuring "The Bygones" at 6pm. Food vendors will be available at 5pm. Beginning at dusk, a fireworks display (approximately 9:15pm) will be set to music from WJBC AM 1230 and various FM stations.

BLOOMINGTON

4th of July in Miller Park
July 4, 2021, All day fun

Bring your blanket, radio and the family for the annual Sky Concert in Miller Park. Fireworks begin at approximately 9:15 pm (depending on weather and circumstances it could be 15 minutes earlier or later) and will be set to music on WJBC AM 1230. Join us before the fireworks for the Celebrate America production at 7:00 pm. The Sky Concert is sponsored by Bloomington Parks, Recreation & Cultural Arts, State Farm Insurance and WJBC.

City of Bloomington Miller Park 4th of July Classic Car Cruise Celebration
The community is encouraged to visit Miller Park on July 4th from 3-7pm to view some antique, classic, race and new cars, trucks and motorcycles. There will be a DJ located at the Miller Park Bandstand. Miller Park will be available for picnic’s, BBQ’s and a food vendor will also be on site for food purchases during the Fourth of July holiday. Holiday fireworks are scheduled to begin at dusk.

Park 2 Park Run
This 5-mile run is a challenging point-to-point race cooperatively sponsored by Bloomington and Normal Parks and Recreation, and the Lake Run Club. Visit the Lake Run Club at www.lakerunclub.org for information and registration.

  • Miller Park Zoo - open until 6:00 pm; grounds cleared at 7:00 pm.
  • Miniature Golf - open from 10:00 am - 8:00 pm.
  • Miller Park Boats - open from 10:00 am - 5:00 pm
  • The sprayground - open from 10:00 am - 8:00 pm.

July 3 at dusk: Fireworks!
Light up your evening with fireworks set off from the Towanda Township Building about 8 miles east of Towanda on 1900 North Road. The display will be clearly visible from town, however, most enjoy sitting at the school to watch the show. Parking and food vendors will be available at the school. Come and watch an awesome display to kick off this year's 4th of July celebration!

July 4 at 10am: Annual Fourth of July Parade
Head to Towands to start your 4th of July out with a parade. Parade route: Adams and East St. go West; Jefferson turn North; Washington go East; Madison turn South; Monroe go East; and Taylor go South and exit at Hely and the school playground.

July 4, all-day events: Downs 4th of July Celebration

The Downs 4th of July Parade begins at noon and ends on East Washington St. in Downs near Tri Valley High School. After the parade enjoy vendors and family-friendly fun. The fireworks show begins at 9:10pm (see a map HERE). Click HERE for the schedule of events and parade route.

July 4, 2pm - Fireworks at dusk: Chenoa 4th of July Parade & Fireworks
Don't miss the largest fireworks display in Central Illinois! There will be a parade beginning at 2pm with a spectacular firework show beginning at dusk. The parade theme is "Together or Apart, We Celebrate America In Our Hearts" and will start at the corner of Division and Mill, west to downtown, south to Lincoln Street, then east to 9th Street. The fireworks will take place at the Football Field on South Division Street. Bring your family as Chenoa celebrates another year to the birth of our nation.
