Save the Date for Day of the Dozer: Saturday, August 26th

July 26, 2017

On Saturday, August 26th, kids will get the experience of a lifetime ... a chance to see and ride on heavy construction and farming equipment! For one day, the kids will be in the driver's seat and actually drive dozers, excavators, and other heavy equipment with a professional operator at their side. It's Day of the Dozer!

Additional Construction and Emergency vehicles will be on exhibit, the Normal Fire Department’s Smoke House, the world's largest sandbox, and other kid friendly displays and activities, plus photo ops with ISU’s Reggie Redbird, and Heartland’s Hunter the Hawk.

The event takes place at the McLean County Fairgrounds on Route 9 West in Bloomington from 10:00am – 4:00pm. Tickets for kids are just $5 in advance, and $7 at the gate. The admission includes a souvenir 'Hard hat' and, better yet, access to all equipment, displays, and activities. There are no additional charges, unless you decide to purchase food, refreshments, or t-shirts, which will be available for a nominal fee. Tickets are not required for adults, however, donations are accepted and appreciated.

Honorary Chairmen for 2017 are David Stark, CEO of Stark Excavating, and local agricultural leader, Jim Finnigan.

Day of the Dozer was created in memory of William F. Brady in 1999, and since that time, more than 10,000 kids have attended this one of a kind event!

Proceeds will benefit the "Stay 4" Project®, a local initiative designed to address the high school drop-out crisis, and help low income students that demonstrate the ability to succeed, yet are at risk for dropping out.

Taking place RAIN or SHINE, it will be a great day for good dirty fun! Tickets may be purchased in advance at: Hy-Vee or The School Shop in Bloomington.
