It's Earth Day! Letter from the Editor

Today we celebrate Earth Day. On Earth Day, people all over the Earth remember to appreciate the beauty of nature and practice ways to protect our planet. While enjoying this week with your families, try to incorporate some fun Earth-friendly activities.

Some ideas may be to:

• Plant some flowers.
• Take a walk on the Constitution Trail and clean up the litter you see on the way.
• Make a special treat for the birds in your backyard.
• Turn off the TV for an evening to conserve some energy.
• Ride bikes to a local park instead of driving.
• Do a craft/project out of recycled materials.
• Host a toy swap with your friends to allow someone else to enjoy the toys your child has outgrown (and keep them out of the landfill!) Learn more about this idea in this week's newsletter.

If each of us does just one small thing to take care of our Earth, all together we will make a big difference!
