Bloomington Parks, Recreation & Cultural Arts will open registration Thursday, March 26, 2015 for the Community Gardens for Bloomington residents only. Proof of residency will be required (i.e. drivers license, state ID, tax bill etc.). Non-resident registration will begin on Friday, March 27, 2015.
The garden plots are located on the southwest corner of Hershey and Ireland Grove Roads. There are 45 plots available on a first-come, first-served basis: 8 plots, 12 x 30 feet for $15.00 each and 37 plots 25 x 30 feet for $30.00 each. The plots will be plowed prior to opening.
Participants may take possession on April 4, 2015. Renters are responsible for any additional soil preparation. Water is available at the site.
