Spring Ahead... Letter from the Editor

March 4, 2015
Although it doesn't look much like spring outside, this weekend we "spring ahead" by setting our clocks forward one hour for Daylight Saving Time. I don't believe anyone likes the idea of losing an hour of sleep, but the feeling of longer days as the sun will set later in the day, and the promise that Spring really is around the corner will make up for it.

While we anxiously await Spring's arrival, there is plenty to do to pass the time. Check out our calendar for some great options.

In this week's newsletter, we are not only springing ahead... we're planning ahead! First, Deanna Frautschi will help you plan for spring break with information on programs offered right here in B-N. Next, you can learn about the Bloomington Normal Girls Softball Association (registration for the summer program ends March 15, so don't wait to sign up!), and Hearts at Home shares why we all need to get the gals together for Moms' Night Out featuring funnyman, Ken Davis, next Friday night. Learn about Wesley's Bright Beginnings (now's the time to start thinking about preschool in the fall), and we tell you how and when Bloomington residents can secure a garden plot in the Community Gardens. Last, find some fun ways to sneak Spring into your home a little early and get the recipe for delicious homemade granola bars.

Enjoy your macaroni!
