School is Here, but Summer's Not Over Yet!

Letter from the Editor

August 20, 2014
The new school year is finally here! We hope everyone is having a great first week back!

A common question I hear is "Do events slow down once school starts?"

The answer is not at all! Late summer brings some of the very best events to our community. This weekend is two of our favorites: Day of the Dozer and the Sweet Corn Blues Festival. Find details for both and all of this week's family-friendly events on our calendar. What else can you look forward to in the next month? There's the Labor Day Parade, World Wide Day of Play, several weeks of the Farmers' Market and more. Of course, we'll keep you posted on details as each event draws nearer.

Mac Kid reminder: Now's a great time to decide which activities your child will participate in this fall. Both Bloomington and Normal have their program guides available (see them HERE and HERE) and many other local options are available. Don't forget to check out the Classes & Lessons section of our Directory for lots of great options.

Enjoy your macaroni!
