School is back in session in Bloomington-Normal and if you are like our family, we are starting to get used to a new routine, shaken by earlier start times and dismissals along fall activities.

Just in time for us finding our new groove, is a favorite summer event - The Sweet Corn Blues Festival happening this weekend in Uptown Normal. This event is a reminder that it is still summer and there's lots of fun to be had in the area before the temperatures cool off.

What else is happening this week? How about the Day of the Dozer, the Hummingbird Festival & Pollination Celebration at Sugar Grove Nature Center and Music Under the Stars at the Miller Park Bandstand to name a few. Find details and more events on our calendar.

Summer break may be over, but there's still plenty of the summer season left for us all to get out in Bloomington-Normal and enjoy the warm sun.

Enjoy your macaroni!
