Registration is underway for the summer Youth Enrichment Program (YEP) at Heartland Community College. The Heartland Community Education Department is excited to offer over 130 exciting learning opportunities for young people of all ages who want to explore and develop new areas of interest this summer. Students from kindergarten through high school can have fun learning new hobbies such as cooking, foreign language, theatre, computer programming, sports camps, and more and also develop their academic skills in the areas of math, writing, reading, science, and more.
Some of the exciting programs offered this summer include:
- Inspiring the Next Generation: Young Scientists - Grades K-1
- Junior Vehicle Engineering with LEGOS - Grades 1-3
- Earth Friendly Art - Grades 2-5
- Magic 1 - Grades 4-8
- Zoo Animal Photography - Grades 4-8
- Cake Decorating - Grades 5-9
- Build Your Own PC - Grades 6-11
- Normal CornBelters Broadcastic Camp - Grades 7-12
Summer YEP booklets are available around the community, at locations such as the libraries, doctor's offices, and schools, or you can request to have a copy sent to you by mail. You can also view the full schedule of classes online by clicking HERE. Classes begin in June and July. Class times and locations vary for each class. Remember that space is limited and classes fill quickly, so register today!
